Fix spelling mistakes

Replace deprecated xlswrite with write* functions

Make indentation use tabs, remove bad whitespace

By bad whitespace I mean whitespace that is alone on a line and
whitespace at the end of a line.

Improve compatibility with Linux version of Matlab

Substitute '\' with '/' because it works on Unix based OSes as well
as on Windows version of matlab.
Also filter out . and .. dirs.

This program was created by Tereza Trávníčková.
As no version control was used prior to this commit, the whole project
has to be commited at once.
